Life Does Not Rewind- Escape From Drug Land

The National Council Against Drug Abuse and Central Narcotics Bureau has been organising an Anti-drug Online Gaming Challenge on the ‘Life Does Not Rewind’ FB Page from 05 Dec 2011 to 26 Feb 2012. I got to know this game through a blog which I often frequent (Christine, who is one of their ambassador) and thought that it was rather interesting. It was not the same old usual preachy post about drug abuse and how we shouldn't consume drugs. The game was interesting as it was a game, had animation + combined with knowledge about drug abuse, definitely something which caught my attention. Also, the competitive steak in me was determined to win some of the amazing prices that they have (iFly tickets!!!) So, I started playing one of their earlier games - The Right Choice.

That game was seriously fun! Played quite a few times wanting to beat the current high score, and with each additional chance, I learnt something more about drug abuse. With a rather good score, I thought I could win the prizes but unfortunately, there were just some people who had faster timings than me. LUCK Y YOU NO COME TO ME!!! (insert appropriate meme :( So when I found out that a new game was launched (Escape from Drug Land), I took a break from mugging for 301, clicked on the app on their FB page, and omg, one hour flew past. That was how addictive it was!
Basically, the whole game was something like snake and ladders, minus the snake and ladders (you get my meaning!) Ok it's something like Monopoly. Roll the dice, land on a spot on the board, and you either have to play a mini game, or answer a question about drugs. There were a huge variety of mini games, which were randomised. I've played quite a few times in order to beat the high score, and each time I played, the games were different. Which kind of explained why 1 hour flew past just like that when I was busy playing the game haha. But in the end, I still couldn't beat the high score (this guy only spent 27 SECONDS, how is that even remotely possible?!). Nevertheless, I did gain quite a lot of useful information during the process.

And that's me all the way down at 58.364 seconds. Nevertheless, I still hope to win a pair of the Sentosa Megazip Combo tickets! :) Will be a good way to spend Valentine's Day! And of course, I just want to spread the message that Life Does Not Rewind. There're always avenues to relieve your stress, and friends who pressure you to consume drugs- they are just not really your friends. I know it's easier said than done. As for me, I'm trying to lead a healthier lifestyle by running at least 3 times a week, 4km each time. I'm so happy that I got my stamina back!
