I hope everything goes well on Wednesday. Can't afford to be cui. :)
Website still in a mess, looks quite a childish attempt to me.
Slogan and logos are still a bit weird. :(
T shirt design: no comments. -__-
Oh well, hopefully everything will turn out fine.

AVATAR!

I just saw the most amazing movie ever. Perhaps one of the best movies in my opinion, after Lord of The Rings(: And no, it's not New Moon (New Moon was way way horrible by the way, worse than twilight).

I caught the sneak preview of Avatar in 3D today@ Marina Square, together with M group. And it was... ... WOW WOW WOW! The visual effects are really stunning and electrifying! What's more, since I watched it in 3D (using the ugly old 3D spectacles), it was as if everything is so real and magical to me (: At times, I felt as if I can just reach out and touch the leaves in the trees... ... Some of the best CGI effects are the flying mountains, Jake flying through Pandora on the alien dragons, and of course, the epic battle scenes where everything just burns and explodes in your face. 3 words: I love it! Strong contender in my all time must-see movies of all time! (But then again, perhaps I just love shows with dazzling CGI effects, like LOTR and Star Trek lol) But granted, some scenes were quite dumb and silly that I just sniggered at them, and seriously speaking, I don't really remember any of the lines that the characters spoke. BUT BUT BUT, the brilliant CGI effects wins hands down. (:

OK, I sound like a crazy movie fan gushing about something that might be so meaningless to you...But I just had to blog about this movie before I sleep. And it's bloody 3AM NOW. See how crazy I am about this movie?!

These few days were spent nuaing at home, going out, enjoying the company of friends, shopping, and carolling practices. Not to mention doing some p&p stuff :) Carolling practice on Monday was a blast, with no resemblance to a choir practice AT ALL. There was this song 'Deck the Halls' which had a certain phrase 'Don we now our GAY apparel...falalala, lalalala' Everyone, especially the guys, were damn amused by the word GAY and there were of course jokes on why Christmas songs are promoting homosexuality 0_0!

And M group went for to volunteer for the Standard Chartered race last Sunday! We were all looking so cui at the end of it, and promptly fell asleep LYING on the track while waiting for the bus to drive us back to Padang. There were so many people looking at us that it is a wonder why none of our photos appeared in STOMP. No more 100 Plus for me forever. Anyway, it was quite an inspiring sight to see so many runners chionging together, especially those elderly folks who signed up for the full 42km. I wonder when will I be brave enough to sign up for a full marathon! It really takes lot's of courage to sign up, knowing that you have to run for the next 4 hours or so....UNLESS you have already prepared the taxi fare to cab home when you are dying from the run haha...:) And of course, we became rubbish collecters at the end of the run, picking up all the empty cups on the ground.

This was just 1/1000 of the rubbish we had to pick up. Obviously it must be SJ's karma for not taking part in any canvassing event for the past 4 years. :/ So after the entire thing, the 9 of us earned a measly $180, which goes into the M GROUP FUND. :)

One week of holidays is almost over. And I'm thinking of what productive things to do during the holidays. I don't want to spend my whole hols nuaing around! And first, I shall aim to pack my ever so messy cupboard. :( Disastrous.

EXAMS ARE OVER!

I survived my first sem in ulu NTU! Although it's only short 3.5 months, it seems like eternity to me. Definitely learnt a lot and grew up along the way. And this marks the end of my hall life living with sm goh. :) One thing that I regretted was not taking part in much uni activities, and the lack of a cca. Makes my uni life quite mundane so far. But when the projects are here, I'm glad that I don not have any other ccas to worry about. Talk about being ironic. Don't have much friends here in NTU, and it's quite sad that my tutorial classmates are mostly hi-bye friends :(

Haha, anyway, I saw this article in the newspaper and I was reminded of business law.

Bugis management’s construction work has caused damage to her shop’s apparels.

A lady boss, Peggy Heng called the papers to express her dissatisfaction. During the interview with the lady boss, she said that in her female apparels retail store, there’s only a separator made of metal wiring, between the ceiling. Last Friday, when construction work was being carried out, no protection layer was placed above the separator. Hence, resulting in the cement dust falling from the top, causing the apparels to be covered with thick layers of dusts.

She mentioned, when she came during her opening hours at 1pm and upon opening the shutter, she was startled by the dusts all over the place. She also commented that the apparels were filled with dusts. Even if she were to send them for cleaning, there would be no guarantee on 100% clearance of the dust. She’s also worried that she could be blamed, should the dust causes skin or other irritations to her customers. Therefore, these clothes should no longer be sold and would cause her losses to amount up to $5000+.

She then immediately lodged a complaint to the management. However, the management only sent a cleaner to clear up the dust with a broom; which is impossible to remove the dusts. Hence, she had to clean the entire shop with a vacuum cleaner, all by herself. She was thus, unable to keep her store opened for that day.

“It was a public holiday that day and the crowd was overwhelming. Many of my blog readers also made a trip down to purchase the apparels. However, I had to explain that my shop has to be closed for the day due to my shop’s misfortune; resulting in my loss of opportunity and them making a wasted trip.”

It really got me thinking...can write one whole essay on whether she would be allowed to claim the losses :)

EXAMS ARE OVER!!! Back to life once again.
