Today is my second day of work at Lines Advertising, and I'm really tired. I didn't expect they would pass so much work for an intern (namely, ME) to do, and to actually entrust me with so much responsibilities. Currently, Lines Advertising is running a DJ Competition for Singapore Discovery Center, consisting of many roadshows and finally cumulating in a final showdown competition somewhere in June. They actually asked me to go and be in charge of all the sponsorships and publicity aspects of the event. Hence for the past few days, I was busy doing contacting sponsors. Definitely more xiong than UOC because it's biz mag and pnp rolled into one! Work starts at 9am and ends at 6.30pm, but I'm aways the first one to leave because everybody is still doing their work. That said, my colleagues and boss are really nice people. Perhaps because the company is small, that's why everyone is so close knitted.:D It's great to feel empowered, because I sense that they really trust me with my work by giving me actial responsibilities (and not menial jobs like photocopying stuff or data entry stuff). But, it doesn't feel like an internship. It feels like an actual JOB. Actually, I'm quite scared that I'll burn out or screw up (whichever comes first), because I feel quite overwhelmed by everything. I'm serious, although it's only the second day, I already feel rather overwhelmed. Wait till you see the long list of stuff I have to handle and you'll understand why). There's this short meeting at the end of the day where you have to update others what you have done so far on your part.
Luckily, I had a breather tonight by having dinner with my friend. We went to this Thai place near City Hall mrt, and the food was definitely great (not to mention CHEAP. Somemore, there's no GST and service charge, so it's really worth it! Another great company tomorrow night as there's dinner with M group! And, my Wii will be coming on Thusday (I'm not so rich to buy a Wii lah, shall update about this Wii thing another time). Finally, UOC meeting on Friday, and I'm also volunteering for Singapore Art Fest, so there's training this Sat too. Busy busy week ahead!
