Life Does Not Rewind- Escape From Drug Land

The National Council Against Drug Abuse and Central Narcotics Bureau has been organising an Anti-drug Online Gaming Challenge on the ‘Life Does Not Rewind’ FB Page from 05 Dec 2011 to 26 Feb 2012. I got to know this game through a blog which I often frequent (Christine, who is one of their ambassador) and thought that it was rather interesting. It was not the same old usual preachy post about drug abuse and how we shouldn't consume drugs. The game was interesting as it was a game, had animation + combined with knowledge about drug abuse, definitely something which caught my attention. Also, the competitive steak in me was determined to win some of the amazing prices that they have (iFly tickets!!!) So, I started playing one of their earlier games - The Right Choice.

That game was seriously fun! Played quite a few times wanting to beat the current high score, and with each additional chance, I learnt something more about drug abuse. With a rather good score, I thought I could win the prizes but unfortunately, there were just some people who had faster timings than me. LUCK Y YOU NO COME TO ME!!! (insert appropriate meme :( So when I found out that a new game was launched (Escape from Drug Land), I took a break from mugging for 301, clicked on the app on their FB page, and omg, one hour flew past. That was how addictive it was!
Basically, the whole game was something like snake and ladders, minus the snake and ladders (you get my meaning!) Ok it's something like Monopoly. Roll the dice, land on a spot on the board, and you either have to play a mini game, or answer a question about drugs. There were a huge variety of mini games, which were randomised. I've played quite a few times in order to beat the high score, and each time I played, the games were different. Which kind of explained why 1 hour flew past just like that when I was busy playing the game haha. But in the end, I still couldn't beat the high score (this guy only spent 27 SECONDS, how is that even remotely possible?!). Nevertheless, I did gain quite a lot of useful information during the process.

And that's me all the way down at 58.364 seconds. Nevertheless, I still hope to win a pair of the Sentosa Megazip Combo tickets! :) Will be a good way to spend Valentine's Day! And of course, I just want to spread the message that Life Does Not Rewind. There're always avenues to relieve your stress, and friends who pressure you to consume drugs- they are just not really your friends. I know it's easier said than done. As for me, I'm trying to lead a healthier lifestyle by running at least 3 times a week, 4km each time. I'm so happy that I got my stamina back!

i'm stressed

Argh. I'm physcially and mentally tired. Having 4 8.30am lessons a week, and reaching back home only at 10pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. Wed and Thurs not much better, reach home at around 7pm. Saturdays are burnt cos of WSC and tuition, and going all the way to Kallang for games and events planning is seriously a waste of my time. :( At this rate I'm going, I don't know how am I supposed to catch up with all my work and my readings...this sem has got to be one of my worst sem in NTU so far. Furthermore, the thought of an internship (and still NOT securing an internship for my compulsory professional attachment in June) really stresses me out.

I am an Individualistic Doer

I have just taken this online personality test thing on the Internet.http://www.ipersonic.com

Normally, I don't give a damn about such online quizes cause I think they are rather dumb, and based on groundless logic. However, some of my friends have tried it, and they said the stuff mentioned there are true, so I was intrigued and went to click on the link. And I must say, IT IS REALLY TRUE. As I was reading the analysis, I kept going "omg, it's really ME."

I am an Individualistic Doer. (Comments in brackets by me)

Individualistic Doers are self-assured and very independent people. They are quiet and realistic, very rational, extremely matter of fact people. They strongly cultivate their individualism and enjoy applying their abilities to new tasks. But they are also very spontaneous and impulsive persons who like to follow their sudden inspirations.(Very true! My impulsive decision to dye my hair, to have hair extensions cos it was free---only to take it out the next day :X, to sign up for the Kkb and Krabi trip etc) Individualistic Doers enjoy challenges - action and the odd kick are simply part of their life. They love tempting fate and many people of this type have risky hobbies such as skydiving or bungee jumping. (Erm ya, kind of true! I guess I like the adrenaline rush that comes with doing such stuff! On a side note, my parents have "sort of" promised that they will pay for my grad trip! :D But since the rest of Magnus are going to graduate one year later than me...and I don't really have much close friends in nbs, I don't know who I will go on a grad trip with. I don't mind travelling alone, but those places I really want to go- like Egypt, Costa Rica and Morocco, are too dangerous to travel alone for a girl. Not to mention, too expensive for a grad trip! And I don't wanna go to places like Hk/Taiwan/ Korea, where most of my nbs friends are foreseeably going to. I know I'm damn troublesome! Instead of going for a grad trip, I'm actually thinking of asking my parents to sponsor my diving lessons instead...around $600. Then, going to Tioman for diving will be my grad trip hahahaha)

Ok, and here's the part about relationships.

All Doers love their freedom, but if there were a prize for independence and autonomy, you would win it. You need your personal space more than all others, and if your partner sticks to you like Velcro, you quickly feel constrained in your independence and individuality, not to speak of the fact that a person like that could not hang on to you for good. (Yes, this is so true. I feel damn suffocated if someone keeps hanging on to me, keeps asking me out/when am I free/whatever nonsense, or bombard me on msn or sms asking "what am I doing now". GET A LIFE YOURSELF! I need a self- confident and independent person who can occupy himself on his own) For that reason, you should carefully pick a partner who can deal with being alone, and does not get nervous when he/she has to spend an evening or even an entire vacation by him/herself.

For you, a relationship is a nice and certainly a worthwhile addition to life. However, you don’t think your existence would be incomplete without one. (That's why I told my parents and even some of my friends when we're having heart-to-heart-talks: That I don't mind being single till I grow old. Sure, it might be a lonely existence, but I love my freedom and independence too much. I would rather just nua at home, watch my dramas, eat my grandma's cooking, swim and run whenever I feel like it and the spontaneity hits me-- you get my meaning. I don't mind it if the guy allows me to have my own space, and appreciates the fact that sometimes, I would rather spend my time alone than with him. But it's very hard to find another person who thinks the same way as I do. I run away when I feel he is getting way too clingy for my liking. Then it starts to get really annoying). Therefore, you are not in danger of jumping into an unrewarding relationship out of desperation; you’d rather wait until the right person crosses your path. Your freedom is always more important to you than a relationship where you would have to make too many compromises for your taste. (This summarizes my viewpoint on relationships. I know this sentence makes me seem like a selfish bitch who doesn't like to make any sacrifices lol. Erm, don't judge me)

This Chinese New Year is Ok, kind of quiet. I should NOT say it's a good break from school cause I have not being mugging for the past 1 week, although lessons have already started at 80% intensity. Time to start mugging tomorrow, before meeting M group for reunion dinner! :D

I'm getting quite scared just by looking at this. 0.0 What have I gotten myself into!?!

1.1.2011

First post of the year! I had real difficulty waking up in the morning after 2 whole days of working (no, make that standing) at Popular bookfest. Luckily, my supervisor was really very nice to all of us, which further reinforces my opinion that male supervisors/bosses are better than female supervisors, who can be bitches sometimes. Came back, did some parts on Loreal, but finally scrapped it after talking to ks at night since all of us are doing it so half heartedly. Htht-ed with wb at night, and concluded that it's no point having any new year resolutions since I will be foresaking them a few months later. I just hope that my life in 2011 will be less dramatic. 2010 was quite an uneventful year for me. I was quite immature in the handling of some stuff resulting in awkwardness and "destroyed friendships".

Spent my day having tuition in the morning, then nuaing and slacking at home for the rest of the day watching ANTM. Schedule for the next few weeks are quite packed, with wsc song sign, my water rafting trip to kkb and my part time job at an ice cream store (yah I am desperately in need of money). I'm actually quite worried for the kkb trip as I signed up for it alone. Really wanted to experience water rafting and waterfall trekking before I get too old and afraid to try it out. Didn't think much of it at that time, but as the day comes nearer, I realised I don't even know anyone there lol! But I guess I have always done things on impulse, and I should really stop being so impulsive. Dyed my hair on impulse after 214 sucky test, bought a new phone on impulse, and the list goes on...Why do they say Virgos are cautious people?!? I'm so not a Virgo.

Note to self, I will pack my stuff on 3rd Jan :D And of course, meeting up with people before they fly off for exchange next sem. I guess I've accepted the fact that I will never get to go on an exchange programme during my University days. I do realise it's a huge financial burden on my parents part as they have to provide for 4 kids, and if they allow me to go on an exchange programme, I will be setting a precedent and they can't say NO if my sibilings were to demand for the same thing as well. Don't really want to apply for a bank loan as well as I don't want to be in huge debt when I graduate, along with the study loans and all. However, sometimes, it still sucks when you hear people planning for their exchange programmes and I'm stuck in Singapore.

update after one sem

Ok so yet another sem has passed. 4 modules and 1 elective this sem are definitely not easy to cope with. I didn't even any committments this semester. Stepped down from uoc and although I am in WSC, it's obvious that I'm not really committed to it other than going for the weekly sign language lessons (which I ponned one time because of projects). Nevertheless, I'm still glad that I passed my sign language test (make that a REtest, because i FAILED the first time). I am really hoping for the best on 18th Jan, just praying hard that my GPA doesn't drop, or even better, just let me rise a bit to 4.5? (fingers crossed). Frankly speaking, it doesn't matter if you get 4.01 or 4.49, because ultimately, it's still a second upper, BUT the effort you need to put in for a 4.01 and 4.49 is so different! PRAYS HARDS that I can get my 4.5.

Been going out for the past few days, and I'm seriously broke. Went shopping for gift exchange stuff with Angeline and Sm on Thurs, and before that, I went to eat dinner alone after work. It was nice to sit and chill with a book on hand. Friday's Christmas eve was spent with M group. Went shopping with Clem and Jh at Giant to buy all the Christmas food! Clem was sad that there was no turkey and so we had to settle for 4 chickens instead. Wanted to buy beer, but 0ver budget sighhh (though someone bought vodka in the end hahah). Bought a totally cui to the max present for the gift exchange, cos we were in a rush for time. Chocolates, what else. Clem was totally against the chocolates, but Jh and I persuaded him to buy (hello, NO TIME). In the end, all 3 of us bought chocs. Guess what, in the end, Clem got MY chocs as his present in the gift exchange. Talk about irony hahaha! Couldn't stop laughing at him! Photos will be up on fb soon I guess, and there's tons of unglam photos with me laughing my head off and Clem's 0.0 face having received the chocs. Tonight will be spending Christmas with 07! It's been a long time since I saw them. One sem? I think I always disappear when school starts. :X Don't worry, it's not chocs for 07 gift exchange.

Ok and... I need to start exercising. Was very motivated after my exams ended, determined to lose all the flab. Went swimming on Monday, running on Tuesday, and swimming again on Wednesday. But Thursday, Friday and now, Saturday spent on going out and eating non-stop. Shit ttm. Should get some workout before work starts on Monday. Yes, working for Popular again for a one week bookfair. Pay is still as sucky as ever, but I think anything's better than slacking at home since I can't find a job anyway given my erratic schedule (because of wsc song sign and my water rafting trip to msia-I'm damn excited by that :D)

On a side note, I don't understand why some people like to sweet talk that much. Hello, I'm not easily swayed by such nonsense, and it irritates the hell out of me. I'm now quite pissed by people randomly talking cock.

Picnic at Botanics+Wii at Eliza's

Went out for a picnic with my nbs og and seniors:) Thanks to Jessica for planning! After that, we went to Eliza's house for an impromptu dinner and Wii session, and had our first ever Bowl Clan Tennis Wimbledon hahaha! Left E's house at 1115pm at with the rest, and went back home with Chongyi cos we were the only two easties there. But, we waited for the stupid bus for 30 mins, and by the time we were at the MRT, the last train has already got off long ago. =.= And wanting to save money and not take a cab home, cos of the ridiculous cab fees and midnight charge, we decided to take the night rider home. Took 3 HOURS to reach home cos we had to change night rider buses halfway. Bleah, and did many cui stuff like running after buses (wrong buses somemore) and walk around like idiots finding the bus stops (even had to ask one construction worker where the bus stop was) =.= So in the end, I got home at 3AM in the midst of a thunderstorm. Sorry dad for making you worried :(

DIVING

I'm so tempted to learn diving! Asked Sun Leng who got her Open Water license with NTU Divers, and she said it only took her about 1 week to get her license. Basically, it costs about $500 and includes Theory lessons, pool lessons and 4 actual dives to Pulau Dayang or Tioman. The cost is a huge deterrent though. I need to SAVE SAVE SAVE, since I don't see my parents sponsoring this. In fact, they did not even approve of me going to Krabi this holidays because of all the water sports that I would be doing. They are scared that I will drown or what not. But, I had already made all the necessary payment myself and confirmed the Krabi trip, before telling my parents a few weeks prior to the trip. I was lucky that they didn't go ballistic on me.

Anyhow, back to diving. Year 2 seems impossible to learn diving as I have to go on a 10 week internship during my 11 weeks vacation (Yes, that means NO holidays for year 2 wth! All cos of YOG, our summer break in Yr 2 is shorten) :( I was thinking that maybe I can do this for my grad trip in Yr 3! I need a dive buddy! Who wants to learn diving :D

I've been staying home the past week (except for M group dinner on Friday), and I must say, I love the feeling of lying in bed and not feeling any pressure to get up! I could tell that my parents are happy that they got to see me more often during dinner, and even when I got home at 2am on Friday after M group dinner (yes, horrible timing at 2AM), they did not even nagged at me! Of course, there's money saved from all those lunches/dinners outside.

These 3 weeks

Finally back home! Been away for 3 weeks from home because of a really hectic schedule. Sometimes I wonder why do I like jetting around so much (2 days at home in a total of 3 weeks)

19th -23rd July: NBS Camp
24th: Rest at home
25th-30th: UOC Camp (M GROUP :D)
31st: Rest at home
1st-6th Aug: Krabi and Phuket

I was a fake freshie for NBS camp, and revealed myself on the third day to the freshies. Some of them were kind of stunned, especially those freshies whom I was closer to. It was quite sian playing games like Nanyang Lake all over again, although it was kind of an major ego boost when I heard people shouting my name when sliding down Nanyang Lake hahahahah. I went to NBS camp with an open mindset because I don't really know the people there very well. Afterall, I was pulled into Kosac to join as a Senior Attached, whereas the rest of the seniors had already known each other for about a year. It is hard to break into the senior clique, which resulted in me becoming much closer to the freshies than the seniors (especially since I was a fake freshie for a few days, playing all the mud and dirty games with the rest of the freshies- I felt kind of sad that they weren't from my batch) But overall, it was quite an experience joining NBS camp, and I must say I really got to know more people from my own faculty.

After NBS camp, it was time for UOC! This is the camp that I was involved in for a year, and this is the camp that I really look forward too! I'm glad that even after a year, Magnus and M group is so close. I feel really happy whenever I'm out for outings with them :D They are the people who really make my NTU days a much more enjoyable and liveable one! Jia Hua and I cried when they announced the best GL award because my GL, Clement, is THE BEST GL! It's been a long and hard journey for him throughout the past 1 year, but I'm really glad that I voted for him to be our GL one year ago.

Then, it was off for Krabi. Signed up for the trip not really knowing anyone (unless you count Aiman whom I didn't really keep in contact with for the past few years. Although she was one of my closer friends in Sec School :X) I really enjoyed the Krabi trip...because I got to experience a lot of new things and water sports! Activities like snorkelling, cliff jumping (really scary experience), mudfight in the middle of the river, kayaking, climbing up 1270 stairs to visit a shrine at the top of the mountain, elephant trekking in the middle of the jungle (where the elephants will just wade across the river bed and pass through the dense forest), going into the natural hot springs, Thai massage almost everyday etc etc.

Krabi was a very laidback place. Dinner could take 45 mins to 1 hour to be served, but no one complains. We just sat down on the mats/chairs, listening to the live band and watched performances like fire twirling and magic tricks. After this, I'm motivated to learn diving next sem! I am thinking of joining with NTU Divers. At the cost of about $500, I will be able to get my dive license and go on 2 dive trips to Tioman. :D

i'm back!

Back from a 3days and 2 nights holiday from Genting! Really had fun! It's not so much of the attractions in Genting per se, but it's more of the company. My group is seriously a fun bunch of people, and I haven't laughed so much since...goodness knows when. But somebody got outcasted, and he became the target of everyone's "outcasting"...

updates

This is going to be a bimbo post. I went to Watsons just now on a shopping spree, and spent quite a bomb :( Need to curb my spendthrift habits...Replenished my cleanser, conditioner and shampoo. Really don't understand why I have to pay for all these when it's used by the household?! Sorry I know I sound damn niao (dialect for stingy), BUT my heart really ache when I see my money going out from my bank like nobody's business.

Turning into a makeup junkie because boss says must put on makeup when meeting clients and all that. According to them, it's a form of RESPECT cos you don't want to look like you just got out of bed when meeting them. Makeup burns a huge hole in my pocket. Another reason why it's great to be a guy. Anyway, I went to Keppel Fels last Friday to attend some briefing for an oil rig naming ceremony. Boss told me to go there myself, and to cab there from Tampines. The taxi fare was a whopping $45. SIAO. I could see that the taxi driver was really happy when I heard I was going to Joo Koon. The briefing was boring, but got to network with other people from other events company.

I'm getting addicted to Gossip Girl. I know it's kind of late that I'm only starting on the episodes now, but it's damm addictive with all the backstabbing and bitching :D Jasmine and I LOVE CHUCK! Next week is going to be a busy week! And I'm going to GENTING! Not feeling very excited now, but oh well, perhaps the excited feeling will come as the day draws near.

I don't want to think about this

You know that you're stressed, when you just ate a whole bar of chocolate by yourself. And yes, I just did that. And no, it's not work related. I have been thinking about this for the past few days, and I have not come to an answer as to what I should do.

spinning woman

Just came back from swimming at Safra. It's been so long since I gave my muscles a good stretch, since I'm practically coped behind the desk 9 hours a day, 5 days a week. And when I get home, I'm usually too tired to do anything else other than nua on my bed. As I went to swim at night, the lights in the swimming pool reflected on the bottom of the pool, forming many flickering swirls of white images. It was really a pretty sight :) Oh, and I forgot to bring my towel. So I was a soaking mess after I bathe, and water was dripping down my hair onto my shirt like crazy, as I cycled back to my house. I think those passer-bys who saw me probably thought I was some deranged woman, because my whole body was dripping wet. -.-

By the way, I saw this optical illusion thing on my friend's blog just now. I guess many of you have already seen this before.

Watch the optical illusion here: (Don't know why Blogger cui and cannot upload the GIF image)

The amazing thing is that this woman used to spin anti-clockwise to me at first glance. But now, when I took a look at it, it actually spins CLOCKWISE! I googled "spinning woman" and this was what I found: If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. And here are some of the right brain functions:
  • uses feeling
  • "big picture" oriented
  • imagination rules
  • symbols and images
  • present and future
  • philosophy & religion
  • can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
  • believes
  • appreciates
  • spatial perception
  • knows object function
  • fantasy based
  • presents possibilities
  • impetuous
  • risk taking
I was always a left brain person ie. someone who uses logic, detailed orientation, practical etc (you know what I mean). So I was quite surprised when the woman spinned clockwise for me haha...maybe it's the miracles after entering nbs. :D

So what do you see?

:(

I was so bloody pissed off at someone yesterday. Long story, and I'm lazy to explain. My bloody really boiled to the max, and I ALMOST wanted to said the f word to him (you can see how mad I was as I am not even a person who swears). I realised that when you absolutely dislike someone, you find everything about him irritating, and everything about him really starts to get on my nerves. Amazingly, everyone found him to be damm shuai looking. Even the GUYS who saw his fb were like "wow, good looking sia". His cocky attitude and the way he thinks that he's always right spoils everything. Luckily I saw the funny offline message that my friend left me on msn, and that's why I didn't explode right there and then.

Luckily, my colleagues at work keep me sane. Speaking of my colleagues, I'm really thankful for such a funny and bunch of people who I work with everyday. :D

PIssed

Friday was a horrible day. Forgot to bring uoc shirt for phototaking, and had to trouble Clement to pop by to my house to collect the shirt. Then after one whole day at work meeting sponsors, I had to rush to NTU for uoc meeting without having dinner. Then, the meeting ended at 11pm =.= After kx told me all the deadline that I have to rush this coming two weeks, I was like wth. Feel damn apologetic to darren and kb cos they waited so long for me to have dinner as their gl meeting ended earlier, and in the end, they still had to leave without dinner because by 10pm, kx still had a lot of stuff to discuss for pnp. So, I went home hungry and tired, and what I reached home, I was even more pissed because my dad immediately started to rant at me for coming home so late. I cannot control what time the meeting ends right? I know my dad is concerned about me because apparently, there are some stabbing incidents around my area. Clement told me about the series of robberies around my area, and he said that his friend kena stabbed. Maybe that's why they installed CCTV at my lift. =.= When did Tampines become so unsafe?!?! I've always thought Tampines is this friendly and nice neighbourhood hahah...

The Wii came on Saturday morning, and as I am typing now, Sandy is playing bowling on Wii Sports. I got the Wii because I replied to this email on my NTU webmail. Some people in WKW Sch of Comms wanted to conduct a study on the effect of games on parent-child relationship, and coincidentally, my family fits the bill because my family has a "grandparent living at home" and "a child below the age of 16". So, the Wii will be stuck in my house for 3 weeks. So after the Wii guy came in the morning to set up the Wii and explained the study to me (I have to keep a diary log), then I went to Starbucks for the rest of the day to do the designs for UOC. Yes, entire day from 2 to 10pm. Amazing how starbucks ppl never kick me out.

I had to crap out forewords for Alan and Kx, and by the time I got to Kx's foreword, I had nothing to say liao. lol. I would seem like a stalker to those people in Starbucks, because I had to put kx, darwis, alan and sh's photos in the booklet. And what better way to pick photos than our favourite Facebook. Therefore, I kept clicking pics in Fb, and when I saw one that I like, I saved it, and edited them in Photoshop. And of course when using Photoshop, I had to ZOOM in to edit the picture. It's not surprising why I heard one little girl commenting "Eh, why the person so weird keep looking and zooming people's pictures." But booklet is finally done, although it's not very nice, but I'm just glad to complete one thing. Also redid the banner because the resolution was too bad to be printed.

And speaking of UOC really makes my blood boil...I'm sorry for ranting on and on to you about uoc stuff on msn. Not many people know about the matter which I told you about, and I cannot afford to say because we have so many common friends which will just lead to potential awkwardness when the others know about it. Thanks for standing up for me and seeing her face change when you talked about that issue (I think that was definitely epic), as well as offering to help me. :D

Ok, I just told mum about the genting/kl trip with m group. And kena scolded, because she feels that it is a waste of money because I have been to genting and kl a million times already, and she says that I'm like flying all over the place because I'm going Krabi too. But, with different company it's different leh. =.=

Thank you SM GOH for the "advice" just now,

The title pretty much says it all :D

Rise and rise again until lambs become lions

I am awake at this unholy hour because I had just come home after watching Robin Hood. The movie bored me to death because it was so long! I fell asleep halfway throughout the movie, and when I woke up, I told Clement "Eh I don't know what is happening leh." Nevertheless, the fight scenes at the end were great, lot's of arrows shooting around and lot's of people getting killed with arrows stuck in their head, throat or body. The title above is one of my favourite lines from the movie, which basically means NEVER TO GIVE UP :D Isn't it ironic that I've watched Robin Hood, but not Iron Man or Ip Man?

And now, I'm uploading the photos to the UOC page. Feel quite shi bai as pnp, especially when Mun Fong asked me yesterday why there's nothing on the website (not even the date of the camp) when the camp is so near. And I still haven't send out the email about the t shirts to the GLs. OMG.Another sleepless night tonight.

Something Zi Shuo said made me feel that I'm being exploited by Lines. And Clement basically just told me to quit my job.

Work life so far

Today is my second day of work at Lines Advertising, and I'm really tired. I didn't expect they would pass so much work for an intern (namely, ME) to do, and to actually entrust me with so much responsibilities. Currently, Lines Advertising is running a DJ Competition for Singapore Discovery Center, consisting of many roadshows and finally cumulating in a final showdown competition somewhere in June. They actually asked me to go and be in charge of all the sponsorships and publicity aspects of the event. Hence for the past few days, I was busy doing contacting sponsors. Definitely more xiong than UOC because it's biz mag and pnp rolled into one! Work starts at 9am and ends at 6.30pm, but I'm aways the first one to leave because everybody is still doing their work. That said, my colleagues and boss are really nice people. Perhaps because the company is small, that's why everyone is so close knitted.:D It's great to feel empowered, because I sense that they really trust me with my work by giving me actial responsibilities (and not menial jobs like photocopying stuff or data entry stuff). But, it doesn't feel like an internship. It feels like an actual JOB. Actually, I'm quite scared that I'll burn out or screw up (whichever comes first), because I feel quite overwhelmed by everything. I'm serious, although it's only the second day, I already feel rather overwhelmed. Wait till you see the long list of stuff I have to handle and you'll understand why). There's this short meeting at the end of the day where you have to update others what you have done so far on your part.

Luckily, I had a breather tonight by having dinner with my friend. We went to this Thai place near City Hall mrt, and the food was definitely great (not to mention CHEAP. Somemore, there's no GST and service charge, so it's really worth it! Another great company tomorrow night as there's dinner with M group! And, my Wii will be coming on Thusday (I'm not so rich to buy a Wii lah, shall update about this Wii thing another time). Finally, UOC meeting on Friday, and I'm also volunteering for Singapore Art Fest, so there's training this Sat too. Busy busy week ahead!

No longer a freshie

I'm free! Year 1 of uni is OVER! :D

Got back my facebook account from SM today. I realised that habits can really die, somehow, I don't feel the "excitement" logging into Facebook liao! Perhaps I've kicked that addiction?

Going for internship interview tomorrow. Pay is shitty and lousy, but job scope sounds okay. But my parents are quite against it because they said that "a dishwasher at some food court can easily earn more than that".

Tomorrow will be the start of my HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CAMPAIGN! First up, I'm going swimming at Safra! Wl was nice enough to lend me his safra card so it means I get to enjoy hot showers when I bathe after swimming! :D

On a side note, GOH SIEW MIN- I'm going to miss you so much when you go off to NUS next Sem! (Not to sound les of course) :( I realised I really xiang yi wei ming with you in nbs, and we sort of got much closer after spending one year together? And did you realised we have never taken a photo together throughout our entire year 1 in nbs!?!

Ikea is the new place to mug

Seems like I'm blogging more and more during this exam period. BLEAH. Am online now trying to read up stuff for marketing, but seriously, I don't know what to read up on! It's like a hit and miss subject for me. Really hope I'll leave the exam hall :D :D :D on Wednesday, instead of that shitty feeling I had for OB. Please give me stuff to crap on! Damm scared that everyone will be scribing like mad and I'll be staring at the paper and flipping my textbook. =.=

I went to mug at IKEA today, and I feel that it's quite a nice place to study! Personally, I cannot study in too quiet environments (like the library) because I'll be even more distracted. (Weird huh). Ikea is a fab place because it's big and sunny and airy (I sat next to the windows so the sun was shinning brightly on my paper- LOVE IT!). Moreover, there was food. Plenty of food in fact. I reached Ikea at 9.30am, and grabbed this breakfast set consisting of a croissant, german sausages, hashbrowns and scrambled eggs! $3 ONLY! Definitely better value for money as compared to MacDonald's breakfast. Then at noon, I was hungry again, so went to buy my favourite Ikea Meatballs :D Spent quite a lot, but it was worth it!

I think Ikea is the new place for people to mug...because I saw several groups of people studying there too. No one ever chases you away. And when I was bored, I went to shop around in Ikea and took a look at all those furniture hahah (typical aunty behavior right).

Even my parents think my mugging places are really weird, because I went to the FOOD COURT to mug last Saturday with Jasmine for Stats paper. There's this halal food court in Century Square which is rather nice to study too! And the desserts there are really nice! Speaking of Jasmine, I really think it's quite cool how the both of us managed to meet each other and became friends. I met her through a scholarship tea session last year because I wanted to apply for the Firefly scholarship. Then we realised that both of us were going to nbs, and even stayed in Tampines. And that's how we managed to keep in contact all these months, gossiping about eye candies in nbs, chatting on msn and even mugging together. Fate I guess?

Ok, off to mug for mrkting again! Really happy that Chelsea won the match against Liverpool on Sunday. POSITIVE SIGN! Hopefully they will win the league again! :D
